YESDISC User Guide<\/h3>\n

  1. The patient lies in the prone position with a cushion under his tummy comfortably.<\/li>\n
  2. Using the C-Arm, you locate the disc level at which the procedure will be performed.<\/li>\n
  3. Sterlize and drape the procedure site.<\/li>\n
  4. Infiltrate the catheter entry site with local anesthetic.<\/li>\n
  5. Open the YESDISC package and insert the needle in the intervertebral disc.<\/li>\n
  6. Remove the stylet and then insert YESDISC catheter.<\/li>\n
  7. Guided hy the C-Arm, you locate the tip at the lesion area.<\/li>\n
  8. Connect the backside of connection on Generator for YESDISC cable.<\/li>\n
  9. Treat lesion area handling foot plate of YESDISC generator.<\/li>\n
  10. Remove catheter and introducer needle.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Discogenic Pain<\/h4>\n

    Pain originating from the intervertebral disc is described as discogenic pain. It occurs when the annulus fibrosus is cracked or fissured, the patient usually feels low back pain that may radiate along nerve root.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

    \"\"<\/th>\n\n

    Herniated Nucleus Pulposus<\/h4>\n

    This Is what is commonly called \u201cwaist Pain\u201d. The intervertebral disc is like a cushion inbetween the vertebral bodies. The nucleus pulposus may bulge or pushes its way through a fissure in the annulus fibrosus. This may exert pressure on the nerve root causing pain.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

    Radicular Pain<\/h4>\n

    This type of pain occurs when there is pressure on the nerve root by herniated disc. The pain is felt in the area supplied by the affected nerve root, that is why the patient describes it as spreading from the back down to his leg.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

    Internal Disc Derangement<\/h4>\n

    It causes back pain by broken annulus fibrous surrounding nucleus pulposus. It appears black shadow instead of disc herniated in MRI.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
